The bar at Park farm was around 11 years old and was looking tired and dated. There had been a conservatory added that is open plan to the rest of the room but with a hard floor and pale window dressings making the room feel much colder and less inviting. The aim was to bring this into the main room by flowing carpet throughout and dressing the windows with roman blinds in different fabrics.
The eclectic look continues with the furniture with different styles of chairs and sofas with varying seat and back heights to give the guests choice depending whether they are relaxing, eating or having a meeting. There are often solo business travellers at the hotel, it was important to make them feel comfortable within the space.
The heather inspired colour scheme is a nod to the location and the artwork features photographs of local South Norfolk heather covered ground. Bronzed mirror glass was used behind the bar with faux leather panels on the bar front. The overall feel of the space is relaxing and comfortable for many different situations.
