The apartment is in an architecturally interesting character property and was purchased by client new from the developer. The brief was to take what was essentially a plain white box and give it a homely ambiance incorporating some of the clients Portuguese heritage.
The open plan living space was given some shape with a cork clad faux chimney breast installed to take in the TV.
The simple colour palette consists of a Mediterranean inspired blue with white and gold. The style is eclectic with a mixture of patterned tiles to soften the modern kitchen units and hanging copper saucepans to give the client a home from home feel.
Bespoke frames were fitted to the wall to display the guitar collection while keeping them easily accessible to play.
The rustic dining table sits with a deep buttoned leather banquette seat and champagne cork stools with a contemporary light above glowing on a panoramic view of Portugal. The layering of different materials throughout and the addition of natural greenery has turned a new build into a home.
